ABOUT PRO MUSICA
The
mission of Pro Musica Northwest Ohio is to ignite and sustain a passion
for the arts within the northwest Ohio community and to provide the core
educational environment for the study, creation and presentation of the
arts.
Pro Musica Northwest Ohio is a select group of 15 individuals whose
interest is in small ensemble singing. Over the past three years, the
singers have earned a premiere reputation in northwest Ohio for their Baroque,
Choral Masterworks, Classical, and Romantic period works as well as Modern
arrangements. The singers anticipate an exciting year under the direction
of Lora Knight.
ABOUT THE FOUNDER
Lora Knight founded
Pro
Musica in the fall of 2000 for the purpose of
singing challenging vocal music. The group's first public concert,
presented in December 2000, featured Vivaldi's "Gloria" accompanied by a
string quartet from the Toledo Symphony Orchestra.
Pro Musica
Northwest Ohio has provided entertainment for area businesses and
organizations, including the Bryan Chamber of Commerce annual banquet.
In March 2001, Pro Musica performed as the guest group at the Toledo
Symphony Orchestra concert held in Founder's Hall in Archbold, Ohio.
Members represent several communities in northwest Ohio and all bring
