Lora
Knight has had a great deal of experience in music and theater since
attending Indiana University. There she performed with famed Singing
Hoosiers and also played the role of Mrs. Malloy in I.U’s Opera
Production of “Hello Dolly.”
Following graduation while living in Indianapolis, she played the role of Beatrice in an original production of “The Parable of Beatrice and Neal” and was also seen in Stephen Sondheim’s “Into the Woods.” Lora sang in the renowned St. Paul’s Episcopal Choir while in Indianapolis.
Lora continued to stay active in musical theater
after moving back to Bryan, Ohio, as she was in the cast of the Toledo
Repertoire Theatre's production of “Jacques Brel is Alive and Well…”
and played the lead role of narrator in “Joseph and the Amazing
Technicolor Dreamcoat” at the Croswell Opera House in Adrian, Michigan.
She recreated that same role in the Bryan Fountain City Festival’s
first musical production of “Joseph” in the summer of 1999. Lora
participated in the 2000 production of “Brigadoon,” as she
played the lead role of Fiona and was also the music director of the
show. In November of 2000, Lora organized Bryan’s first a capella
chamber group - Pro Musica NW Ohio, which has successfully performed many
concerts.
